Reds re-sign Wohlers

Mark Wohlers stayed with the Cincinnati Reds, agreeing today to aone-year contract with a team option for 2002. Reds general managerJim Bowden said the reliever turned down more lucrative offers. "Thatshows what kind of person he is and the loyalty he has for the Reds,"Bowden said. "He wants us to reap the benefits of the hard work ourstaff put into his rehabilitation the last couple of years."
